What is PD (Pupillary Distance) and How to Measure It for Online Glasses
Your PD (Pupillary Distance) is the distance between the centers of your pupils, measured in millimeters. Accurate PD is essential when ordering eyeglasses online, as it ensures the optical center of each lens aligns perfectly with your eyes, preventing blurry vision and eye strain.
At See Clear Optical, we make it easy to measure your PD at your home visit.
What is PD (Pupillary Distance)?
Pupillary Distance (PD) tells optical labs where to position the center of each lens in your glasses. There are two types of PD measurements:
1. Single PD (Binocular PD) – the distance from the center of one pupil to the other.
2.Dual PD (Monocular PD) – the distance from the bridge of your nose to each pupil individually.
